The employees of Edgerton Gear make it a point to share their talents and resources with the wider community.

Profits support paid leave for employees who volunteer their time to charitable causes.
Edgerton Gear annually offers scholarships to high school students seeking further education in the trades or a manufacturing field.
Children of Edgerton Gear staff qualify for scholarships based on years of employment.

Craftsman with Character

Profits help to support a collaboration with the Edgerton Community High School's Tech Ed Department, bringing students into a real world employment situation for job shadowing, hands-on training, and participation in an innovative adjunct to their regular curriculum: a class called Craftsman With Character.
Following completion of the Craftsman with Character course, students are eligible to apply for a paid summer internship to further immerse themselves in Edgerton Gear’s culture.
Following a summer internship, students may then be eligible for a paid Youth Apprenticeship while earning school credit.
